Bastian Uhlig was born in the Ore Mountains in 1998. He studied harpsichord, organ, basso continuo and fortepiano at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels and at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar, graduating with top marks in 2022 and with honours in 2024. CD recordings were made in collaboration with the Thüringen Philharmonie Gotha-Eisenach for the label Accent, more will be released in the following years. His concerts have been recorded by Deutschlandfunk Kultur, Corporación Radio e Televisión de Galicia and Bayerischer Rundfunk, among others. Bastian Uhlig holds a position as regional cantor in the Waltershausen/Ohrdruf church district, where he also plays the famous Trost organ (1724/1730) in the Waltershausen town church. He has received numerous invitations to perform in Spain, France, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Italy, the Ukraine, Mexico, Israel, Austria and Germany; as a harpsichord soloist accompanied by the Real Filharmonía de Galicia, the Thüringen Philharmonie Gotha-Eisenach or the Philharmonisches Orchester Vorpommern, for organ recitals in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela and in the Church of the Redeemer in Jerusalem, to perform a solo concert tour in Andalusia or as a Continuo musician together with Ton Koopman, Midori Seiler, Valer Sabadus and Michael Hofstetter, for example, as well as countless others. Bastian Uhlig is regarded by critics as a versatile “master of his craft”, for which he has received several international award
